My muzzleloading season is about to switch over to firearms this Saturday. It's been WAY too warm around ere for much activity. Hopefully, with the forecast calling for changes,, I'm hoping to see more activity when it's daylight!
Good luck to you!!!!!!!!

Good luck to everyone. Just think, everyone you kill is one not wasted on the highway making your insurance rates go up. Thats my version of being "eco-friendly". LOL.

I don't know the ft lbs or Taylor numbers for a minivan, but they are quite decisive in the knockdown category. Sadly, my wife has WAY too much experience with.

My old Dodge had "DEERSLAYER" in vinyl lettering across the back. I think I hit about 6 or 7 deer in it going to work early for the police department. Really inconvenient when you only have one vehicle.

Out hunting. Only seen squirrels so far. Rained hard before dawn. Pretty warm; but water dripping off leaves and breeze making me wish i had brought a jacket. Have heard maybe 10 shots from other hunters so far. Packing Anaconda bought from Taffin. May wind up using it on a squirrel! Looking up squirrel recipes.

Got it done at 730. 158 gr soft point and the 8 pt dropped in his tracks. First time that’s happened. Not as big as thought at first. But 75 yards in the rain and I’m done. Can text pics if someone wants to post them for me

Excellent, nice job, getting it done early too, didn't see anything this morning, trying a 45-70 this season, but the Ruger blackhawk in 45 colt is with me too, hopefully this afternoon will be better

I wound up seeing 5. One big bodied; but smallish racked buck at 63 yards, couple does at about 100, and a couple much more distant. Didn't shoot any. Will take son out this afternoon after gets home from school.

Spent about 80 minutes this evening surrounded by 6 does and 3 bucks. Son seriously thought about the biggest buck (8 pointer with rack slightly outside ears); but passed hoping for a bigger one.

No luck for me, but I had another hunter walk in on me, this is private property, owned by me, and the first time this has happened, I gave him some words, and let him know he had walked right into the line of sight of my rifle, why would someone walk through people's property during a firearms season, stupidity will never cease to amaze me, explains why I didn't see anything

I had one run a stop sign in front of me 3 years ago. It didn’t stop me, just slowed me down, but I still got away!

Coffee brewing. Waffles in the iron cooking. Bacon sizzling. 357mag Blackhawk stoked with 640hp's.
Opening day for gun season here at my place. I need a couple does, but there's been a big 12pt wandering around here.

Got busted by a nice ten point I've watched for a few years now. Winded me right before dark.
The breeze shifted as he worked down a deadfall to check out the decoy. Tink's 69 and his nose brought him in and that same nose sent him slinking out without giving me a good shot. There's 6 more weeks left though.
