A while back I was asking questions about grip selection for a heavy hitting Redhawk. Here's why.... It's an older Bowen build when the .500 Linebaugh was still called a .500 magnum. The recoil is much more manageable with the Pachmayer grips. The loads were 440gr cast at about 1100fps. I need to practice a lot....

That blued guns brother likes 450’s at 1000fps, and it’s accurate and easy shooting. HS6 is your friend at those speeds.

Beautiful revolver, and those stags are beautiful on it, but doubt they would be fun to shoot with. Did Bowen make them? I am thinking on going with some type antler grips for my new 357 stainless Redhawk.

Isn't that supposed to have wheels mounted on it? Maybe be pulled by a team of hores? What a cannon!!!

Isn't that supposed to have wheels mounted on it? Maybe be pulled by a team of hores? What a cannon!!! You seem to be mistaking a Ruger for a Smith & Wesson! I bet that little beast doesn't go more than an ounce over three pounds, and quite handily embodies the three P's as espoused by Mr. Linebaugh - Powerful, Packable and Practical. Unlike an X-frame, that Redhawk would ride just fine on your hip. As to the grips, I'd consider making a call to Mr. Rowan to ask about his Bisley grips for the Redhawk. They're probably not an everyday creation in his shop, but that's not an everyday revolver either.

Good snag!
A 500 DA is on my “want” list and I’m sure it’ll be even better once you’re done with it.
As for grips, I like Nill but 360 grains at H110 speeds are rough so I’m no help on a 500.
