The hard part with the Blu Magnum grips is explaining them without having a set in your hands. From pics they look very similar but when you grab ahold you feel the difference. They have small palm swells, the front of the grips have a small flat to them that just fit perfect to your fingers, the left side is slightly different from the right side, all in ways that are almost impossible to see without feeling them. They just fit your hand right and lead to a most consistent grip even when shooting quick, and that is the real secret of good handgun shooting isn’t it?
Now Zane’s grips are pretty spectacular in every respect from what I’ve seen and handled (although I haven’t handled a set of Smith grips yet). They might have a lot of these details in them I don’t know but Tedd’s stuff was a bit different from anyone else’s I have handled.
That and Tedd was a good friend and I miss stopping by and seeing him or going out to his place and shooting.

I've tried many different types of grips on S&W double actions, and my favorites are Blu Magnums. I just ordered a S&W 25 Classic (45 Colt on a square N-frame) and really would like a pair of Blu Mags on it. Is anyone making copies of Tedd's grips? I had an order in with him when he unexpectedly passed, very sad to see him go; was nice talking with him on the phone. I keep looking for BearHugs too, I guess they're like hens teeth as well. If I can't find any Blu Mags I'll probably hang my head in defeat and order a set of Herretts Detectives or Nills. Appreciate any guidance. CHECK WITH BOBBY TYLER AT TYLER GUNWORKS

If you have a set of Blu Magnums,, and sent them to Zane,, I'm sure he'd let you know if he could copy the shape.

I'm a shooter and Tedd's grips were built for shooters. Yeah, there were gaps on the back, but it didn't matter to me because suddenly Magnum loads were very manageable.
