I've got one. It's the most brutal thing I own. Worse than the 500L Redhawk with full power 430's. And that's with the 140 he's. It gets 38-44 loads mostly.

I've got one. Had it for almost 20 yrs. Bought it for $300 from a guy who lived in the southeast and carried it close to the skin. Thanks to humidity, salt air and sweat it was always cosmetically challenged which I knew when I bought it. As BB5 said above it is brutal with full house 357s. It's my inclement weather rain jacket pocket gun and I used it as such today. . . . I carry it with 3 125gr XTP JHPs over 7.0gr BE86 (approx 925 fps) and 2 Buf Bore 180gr Outdoorsman. It reasonably comfortable with the 125s, brutal with the 180s. . POI was always high with the 357s but the 125/7.0 BE86 is pretty much dead on at 25 yds. The green laser was adjusted after shooting this target. The blue is the 360, yellow is LCR. . . Have some Lehigh 125gr solid copper HPs that will replace the XTPs when I get around to it. . Not a range gun for sure, but very useful. Paul

I think it was one of these I shot years ago that to this day is the most brutally recoiling handgun I have ever tried. Had little hardwood grips of some flavor and was loaded with some factory 125gr hot defensive load the muzzle blast was would get anyone’s attention when it went off and the my fingernails felt like they were being ripped off my fingers with each shot. I don’t thjnk I made it through a full cylinder even.
I have had a 442 for years, shot a few really stout 38sp +P loads on her but nothing like that little beast that day. Mine lives with a Speer 140gr Gold Dot +P defensive load in her ready to go.
All said still a very useful little booger to have around doing what it does, being available in times of need.

I have that but with a stainless cylinder,(360ss) which makes it a tad heavier but it’s still a brutal little beast with magnum ammo.I’ve been carrying it as a warm weather weapon for the last ten or so years. With +P 158gr hollow point .38 special inside you hardly know you’re wearing it. Not been fired a lot but have had no issues with the lock engaging.

Yup, this will do just fine. I can feel that bad attitude beaming out of it.

I have had my 360PD shooting full-load 357 magnumbs for about 10 years, and it always is on my hip when walking the backcountry. And yes, Magnums can be max-numb.
Everything written so far is spot on. It is brutal. The absolute worst. It is the worst range toy ever invented. I hate it; I wouldn't walk without it.
The stupidest thing however is S&W shipping it with a rubber grip, BUT with exposed metal backstrap. Dumb, dumb, dumb ! ! !

A tad easier to shoot they did make the 360J model. 38+P and a blackened stainless cylinder but still the scandium frame. Still no "fun" to shoot, but a bit better.

I have a 357pd .41 mag lightweight, and I echo all the above. I'm not worried about the lock, though. I just took it out and replaced it with a slug with this lock delete kit: www.originalprecision.com/lock-delete-kit.htmlHas worked great so far! I also have one in my John Ross .500 S&W.

I’ve had 2! #1 was ordered when I was transferring to a big corporate job in memphis. It had the stainless cylinder and shot extremely well within my abilities to hold it on target using both my 190g hard cast bone crackers & federal hydra shocks after a trigger job. Unfortunately it was stolen and never recovered. With my favorite dealer saying man I just can’t get one I got lucky when walked into a local shop and snagged a version with the stainless Cylinder. I can’t tell the difference on my hip or in my pocket and #2 seems to behave as well as #1 did. Not something I want to shoot excessively much less on a daily schedule but they carry very sweetly. Don’t ask me if the lock has ever jumped on during recoil because neither of mine had it

I've got the steel cylinder one but I still don't shoot .357's out of it. I wanted the ability but I don't have the gumption.
Mine is a no lock version.
