Has anyone heard if Ruger will bring this one back?

IMHO, Ruger would jack it all up if they did/do. It would probably have a cheesegrater forearm and M4 buttstock, and of course a threaded muzzle.

Ruger has done right by the other leverguns that have come back out so far. Plenty of other guys making tacticool goofy assed leverguns if that’s your thing. Now I think the 39 is a long ways down the priority list and Ruger does not seem to be rushing these to the market.

I'd like to see a Ruger version of the 39. Maybe a slightly shorter barrel and a slimmed down forearm.

I would rather see Ruger compete with Henry in the .22 lever action market than to compete with heritage rough riders with the wrangler.

Ruger has done an excellent job on the Marlins I have seen. Not a real fan of threaded Muzzles either, but not all the rifles i have had them. I saw a 336 that was better finished then any JM stamped Marlin I has seen in a long long time. The cost is all that has kept me from buying one or a 94 at this time. ...tj

I hope they come back out with the 39A. I have a bunch but are coming harder to find. Henry’s just don’t do it for me. Handled a bunch and we sold a lot at Bass Pro when I was there but just not the quality to me of a Marlin or Winchester. Maybe I’m just a levergun snob?

I looked at both the 44 and 357 today at the gun show. Nice fit and finish on both guns. Dang near bought the 357 but i got rifles i dont shoot. A 1x4 scope would make a dandy deer and pig gun.

In my opinion, both the Marlin and the Winchester 94/22 have excellent carry handling (balance) characteristics, without a scope, for a great field 22 lever gun.

All the pretty wood in the world can't cover up that bright red safety Lee.

Chiappa already makes a clone of the 39. I don't want one with its alloy frame and all, just sayin the make one.
