Are they going to make anymore A-FRAMES?

I want to note that the bullet tested was the XTPMagnum version of the Hornady bullet. I’d be a no go with a 300 gr XTP at 454 velocities on game. ON ONE OF MY EARLY SAFARIS WITH A FA MODEL 83, USING A 45 COLT CYLINDER AND 454 EQUIVALENT 45 COLT LOADS, I RAN THE FA 300gr BULLET AND THE ORIGINAL 300gr XTP BULLET (NOT THE MAG) SIDE BY SIDE CULLING IMPALA FOR LEOPARD BAIT. AS A RESULT OF THAT FIELD TESTING I ABANDONED THE ORIGINAL XTP FOR AFRICA. IIRC, I DID CONTINUE USE IT FOR A WHILE ON WHITETAIL AND FOR PRACTICE. JUST THINK THAT AT 454 SPEEDS IT MAY NOT BE AN APPROPRIATE REVOLVER BULLET.

I went to my local Cabela's after work today and bought every box of 300gr XTP MAG they had. It was only three boxes. But I felt that I needed some more because of this Thread.
Also bought:
2 boxes of the 240gr XTP MAG
2 boxes of the 41cal. 210gr XTP
1 box of Hornaday .458cal. 300gr JHP

A Texas heart shot on a muley buck with the xtp mag at 1600 fps resulted in broken rear end and pretty much text book expansion with some scratches. Penetration not very deep. Maybe 12” if I recall. Accurate bullets and if there is a problem, it’s lack of initial expansion as someone mentioned. I have seen the 240 version plug with hair and not open. But if you don’t run them slow shouldn’t be common

I have used the 300 in my FA83 and although I generally shoot a 340 gr. LFN bullet, the 300 grain bullet ahead of 33 grs. of 296 has accounted for 41 hogs and feral sheep. None of these animals needed a second shot. None of the bullets were recovered, even on facing shots (I generally stalk to within 30 yards). None of the animals weighed LESS than 125 lbs! with some tipping the scales at 285+.

Are they going to make anymore A-FRAMES? I talked with the owner of Swift bullets less than a year ago, and from what he was willing to say, it sounded like he didn't have immediate plans to produce many more revolver bullets because of low sales. We both were a bit sad.

We both were a bit sad. Man, I hope that changes along with the supply chain issues. We lost the excellent Nosler Partition HG years ago, it would indeed be sad if the A Frames went the same way.
