I have the GP version in 22 LR. I would be very interested just how this version shoots with what and how far if you would.

That's a nice one!
I prefer the action on the 6 shot version.

Anyone else see my having SP101 grip inserts for a Ransom Rest a sign?

So, if the gun shoots decent it will need a good fully adjustable rear sight. Gunsmith Recommendations?

Another little 22 I’ve owned, mine was the 2.25” model with the windage adjusted rear sight. Shot well but man it was heavy. Kick myself for getting rid of it. Hard to impossible to find for sale used now.

I'm one of the unlucky guys who received a brand new 10 round SP101 22 with a horrible, gritty trigger. A cleaning did not help and I discovered metal burrs that weren't cleaned up during assembly. This is a rarity for me.
I sent it back to Ruger mother ship telling them I "wanted to pay" for a full action job. I've had good service from them before. They sent it back to me unchanged. I called and was told that 12lb single action and 15lb double action was within specs. Customer Service told me that if they worked on it, it would be admitting that their specs were wrong. Even for cash money they wouldn't touch it.
The SP101 then went on a multi year journey to get somewhere around 3lb SA and 8lb DA. The first attempt by local gunsmith produced a failure to fire in every cylinder shot with many types of ammo. That required a new trigger to start over. I don't know about others, but when a firearm takes years to get even close to right; my trust for the weapon is gone. PITA.
I keep reading from other owners how their SP101 has shown excellent trigger pulls. I also have now read lots of stories about how poor the SP101 trigger is and how difficult it is to work on. I can only think I got a dud or that I'm too finicky about my triggers. That was the last NEW sixgun I bought without a hand inspection.
