I plan to leave the factory cylinder as the .32 H&R Magnum which will probably do everything that needs to be done with a .32 pistol but not being able to leave well enough alone I called Jack Huntington this morning. He said if I can get hold of a Model 48 .22 Mag cylinder it can be rechambered to .327 Federal Magnum. The search is on for the cylinder

He said it had to be the mag cylinder. He told me why but it went over my head It’s the ejector star. All 48s have the thick ones. Many older 17s do too but you have to be careful….. That’s why he told you a 48…..

Guy on eBay has three of them THANKS FOR THE TIP, JUST BOUGHT 1 OF THE FACTORY NEW MODEL 48 CYLINDERS OFF OF EBAY. MY DEALER JUST GOT IN A 6" 16-4 32 MAG I GOT ON GUNBROKER, LOOKS UNFIRED. I HAVE A DONOR MODEL 14, A 4" 16-4 BARREL, AND A MODEL 48 CYLINDER ON THE WAY, NOW I AM FACED WITH DECESIONS, DECESIONS, DECESIONS.

Bought a new 48 cylinder off eBay also. Have to hurry Jack said he was running out of storage room!
