I LOVE THE LOOK OF NICKELED REVOLVERS, AND I OWN SOME VERY NICE ONES, BUT I VIEW THEM AS "SHOW HORSES" RATHER THAN "WORK HORSES", TO BE USED BUT REQUIRING MORE CARE THAN BLUE OR STAINLESS. I CAN LIVE WITH HONEST WEAR ON A BLUE GUN BUT FLAKING OF THE NICLEL FINISH IS THE START OF A JOURNEY DOWN A ROAD WITHOUT A GOOD END.

Have a blue model 51 but don't recall ever seeing a nickeled one. Pretty cool gun!
