I must start off by saying, No Poll can ever ask the right question or include the perfect list. It's for fun.
Your taxes will not change as a result of this poll. No animals were harmed in the production of this poll.
I'm just curious about our members. Try to select the option that Best describes you, or the one you find least objectionable.
I gave the ability to select 2 options; but please don't unless you're schizophrenic, it skews the results. Use a post to describe why you had to select two.
The poll may give us some numbers, but the posts are usually the valuable and interesting part.
Tell us where you shoot: indoor range, backyard, mountains, deserts? Tell us about the caliber you prefer and the manufacturer that gets your cash. How often do you get out? How many rounds?
I'm a 74 year old hobbyist/accumulator who would love to become an enthusiast; need more trigger time. I don't care for indoor ranges and it's tough to get to the country.
I have long-barreled revolvers 10 to 1: S&W, Ruger, Colt, DW, T/C, United Sporting Arms. I shot expert on M1 rifle daily in high school and lost my interest in rifles. I will never conquer handguns.
I absolutely love handloading and the testing involved; so many powders, so many bullets. I can do the studying and handloading part every day.
I don't practice defensive shooting and hope I will never have to make that choice. I shoot for fun.
I have a real preference for shooting steel gongs out at 100 yards plus with 357Maximum and .32's; backcountry camping for days. Of course there is always the 22 LR, 38/357, 41 , 45 Colt, and the 44. Is this a great country or what?
The ring of the steel gong is like mana from heaven for me; instant feedback. Using a spotting scope is just not the same rush.
