I just discovered this revolver and had an opportunity to handle one a couple weeks ago. I was impressed with its weight and heft. Felt more like a .357 magnum than a .22 and I loved the 10 shot cylinder. If I had not been shopping for something a little different this would have come home with me. It's still may.
Around my parts .22 long rifle ammunition is plentiful and the price is not horrible. Be a good time to stock up and eventually add a revolver like this to the party.

They are very nice guns for sure. I own some S&W revolvers,, and have quietly been searching for several years for a Model 17 that was "affordable." Well, not having found one,, I saw a 617-6 for sale & decided to get it. Mine is just like that picture. Mine came with a "Speed-Beez" loading block & (2) speed loaders. That & a nice DeSantis holster. I was very impressed with the gun myself.
Of course,, very shortly after I found the 617,, I found a M-17 as well. It's on it's way here as I type this.
One S&W to go & I'll have the models I desire.

This one disappeared the day after I scoped it out. It was back on the shelf yesterday. It is now mine..
