I would assume you you have tried painting the front sight ? I have a growing collection of nail polish colors that work well. ...tj

Seems like all of them have vices, so I just stick with black. Really, it's not the color anyhow. I was doing a little 75 yd. work with the revolver in question today and the front sight almost completely fills the rear sight notch. The Model 10-x sights work very well for me. I measured them just before coming into the house for the evening and the front sight is .125" in width and the rear notch is .135". Hopefully I can find a 'smith that will replicate these sights on this old S&W.

UPDATE-
I called Alan Harton today and told him what I had and explained what I wanted. He understood completely and said it shouldn't be a problem at all, to send it to him with a detailed explanation of what I wanted and he'd make it happen!
