Here is what you are looking for. The gun on the right was cut to 5 inches by Jim Stroh while the gun on the left has an original 5" barrel. Notice the placement of the writing on the side of the barrel. postimg.cc/NLrFwJ41 |

I’m not positive, but from the pics you may have K frame grips on your N frame.
Took me a while to find one, but my 29-2 is a 6 inch. I prefer it to the 6.5 inch. Congratulations on your purchase. These days any N frame under a grand is a pretty good deal.

I pointed out that the grips were wrong and that helped get the price down. Good eye. I don’t know if they are K Frame or just a bad fit. I will definitely be putting something more appropriate on them.
