He has its twin fully engraved as well. living life right I guess... Not me unfortunately . Bushy had or has a couple. I had a chance at the engraved one twice, but it was bad timing both times.

Does anybody know if Bowen will install an ovate or other custom barrel on another maker's custom? I have a Clements line bored 41 mag that wears the factory barrel still, and an ovate would be real classy.

I owned this one when the engraved one became available and I couldn't come up with a good argument to own two. This one would be one of the last guns I'll sell.

I just got off the phone with Mr Bowen. Pretty amazing to get to speak with him. He likes the 5 1/2 length. Definitely have to have his rear sight, base pin,and lanyard ring added. I would go with the regular six shot 45 colt cylinder. I have a bisley and a regular new model that I could send. Tough choice. If you’re going to get a cylinder converted to the .45 Colt, I’d strongly suggest you do the math/talk to Hamilton about doing a longhunter package with the 6 shot option and the ovate barrel. For not that much more $ you get a line bored gun that has the cylinder blocked and is the best of the best. Includes the trigger, sights , base pin too. Trust me on this one…at least weigh that option. I would also STRONGLY recommend the deluxe trigger tune as it comes with an adjustable internal trigger stop and is remarkable. I’ve sold Bowen guns that didn’t have it and ordered the same gun with it. No retrofit on those…

Won't speak for him, but i know he was really squirrely about working on a revolver that I had let someone else install a grip frame on...I'd call him, but don't be surprised with a no...concerned about liability. Every ovate barreled ruger I've seen images of looks awesome. One thing about it. They are expensive but only a relatively small number of revolvers will ever wear them.
