Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers. My Mom just got back from her first chemo treatment. So far so good. Eleven more weeks to go.

Done.
Keep her spirits up, it's important. My Mom had Colon and Lymph node cancer and beat it. Her biggest problem was depression and fear.

Done. Keep her spirits up, it's important. My Mom had Colon and Lymph node cancer and beat it. Her biggest problem was depression and fear. I agree, and we’re keeping an eye on her. She does get nervous on the drive over to the infusion/Cancer center. It takes about 75 minutes to get there, so enough time for her to “think”. One good thing is the people at the infusion/Cancer center. I get an infusion for my migraines (every 3 months) at the same place. I can attest to how kind, gentle, and caring all of the stafff are at the infusion/Cancer center. I know they make a difference in their own right.

Give her a hug and a hang in there from an old survivor from KY, and please tell her she is not alone, and not forgotten.

I understand the statement about friendly staff at the chemo place, those people are special. My mom's doctor is middle eastern. After the chemo had done its thing and it WAS good, he exclaimed "It's smaller than a rice bean!" I thought "What the h--l?" as I laughed for joy.

Enjoying Mothers Day with my Mom tomorrow. Earlier this year didn’t know if I’d be able to say that. So Blessed and very thankful for all of you on here and your support. Four more treatments to go.

Just a little update. First, thanks again so very much for the prayers!! It means so very much to have people praying for my Mom, even though I have yet to meet a single one of you. She is still taking chemo at this time. It was once a week, but it is now only once every three weeks she takes the chemo. This is great for her because she has a terrible back and the ride to take the treatments is a bit over a 2 hour round trip. Thanks again for all the prayers. Here she is after shooting the Bisley flat top .44 special some years ago.
