Well now the healing begins. Back surgery went well and everything worked out well. Now to keep from doing something stupid and hopefully be back to shooting in a few days!

That’s great! Spine surgery always feels like a gamble.
Take it slow though. Feeling good right after surgery gives folks a false sense of being able to resume normal activity. Just know you can’t until your doc says.

Good luck with the recovery & as mentioned, take it slow & be safe. I'm still waiting on this right thumb to heal so I can shoot something bigger than a 357 without going left handed, my oldest son calls it "dumb handed". I've been waiting since September & one of these days this snow is going to melt & it won't be -28 degrees!

Like mentioned, slow and easy! After every surgery I’d reach a point where I’d think “hey, I’m healed enough to——“ and I’d do something stupid and set myself back a week or two. Even did it last week when I thought I was well enough to pack sacks of feed and water softener salt and the new knee revolted a bit. The point is, rehab is good, stupidity is not!

It is funny how I have dropped more crap since this morning than I have in the past month! Definitely going to take it easy for a little while

Yes, do what the MD says! Subsequent corrective surgeries for fixing screw ups by patient causes the success ratio to drop dramatically. Take it easy and behave. Ask me how I know, you don't lwant an overworked, pissed off, surgeon to go in to fix a problem that shouldn't of happened.

Good to hear....better to learn from the mistakes of others and not repeat it oneself...

Good deal. Take it easy and don't get in a hurry. Move slow.

Get in the habit of using a cane or walking stick and watching where you put your feet down for awhile. Not only can the staff or cane save a fall but they are handy for picking objects up or moving things out of the way. Wish you a quick recovery but go slow and easy for awhile. I couldn't sit for 8 weeks except for one thing, so I slowly walked a lot.

Ronnie, this is welcome news. But, as others have said, let your body heal before overdoing it.
Glad to hear your surgery went well. But, doubt you'd want to go back for more...
