Marvel Mystery Oil,,,"Marvel protects against scoring or seizing and creates a highly polished, wear resistant finish on engine surfaces." Could it hurt? Hasn't hurt my stuff, and I love the can.

I have one of the Worcester made 999s, the trigger really is not that bad. But it does have light primer strikes which can be maddening. I am reluctant to shim the main spring which would raise the trigger pull in double action mode. Will be trying some newer different ammo to try and get it more reliable.

I've always thought that I'd pick one up some day. But a lot of the used examples that I've seen have had the front sight blade damaged or missing and a few with damaged rear blades. Seems to me the sight design is short of being robust. But I would still buy a nice complete one if found at a reasonable price.

As kid I wanted a 999 so badly I couldn't stand it. I was nutty about topbreaks in genral. Ended up with a High Standard Sentinel instead which ended up being a good little sixgun that spent a lot of time on the trap line. Haven't seen a 999 in good shape at what I consider a reasonable price in a long time.
