I LOVE the PD! I’ve had 4 or 5 over the years. I had Gary Reeder re build one for me a few years ago. It’s quite a looker and a shooter!

Got me one of them. Was NIB, but neglected and was rusted on one side of frame. Had it polished and refinished. Frame was sand blasted. Only bad part was the hammer and trigger were color case finish, but wound up getting blued.  |

I carried a Gold Cup as a deputy sheriff and had a PD for off duty carry. The PD could shoot groups as good as the GC and I don't think it ever had a malfunction. I sold both guns to fund an IPSC race gun, dammit.

I've got a PD that goes absolutely everywhere with me. It's accurate and has never had a malfunction. I really like the low profile adjustable rear sight.
The only thing I wish was different, is I wish it would take a standard 1911 magazine. A standard mad will click in place, but will probably fall out when you shoot.
