IT IS COMMON TO SEE PRE-WAR DA SMITHS AND COLTS IN 32-20 THAT WERE USED AND NOT JUST OWNED. JUST MY OPINION/PREFERENCE, THE HE IS NOT THE GUN THE ARMY SPECIAL WAS AND CERTAINLY IS NOT NEAR THE EQUAL OF A COLT OFFICIAL POLICE IN 32-20.

For some reason I have seen more ringed barrels in 32-20 than every other caliber combined. And some of the worst corroded bores. I've wondered if a lot got shot with black powder loads. The way I list them in order of robustness is same as Rey. From the least, Colt Police Positive Special, S&W HE with the later models stronger than the earlier and strongest is the Colt Army Special/Official Police. Neither the Colt PPS nor the S&W HE gets jacketed bullets or loads much above 32Long. My Army Spl. I get pretty frisky with. |

During the day, I think i'm the only one who even knows what a 32-20 WCF is; let alone likes it.
Then I hit singleactions website and there are fanboys everywhere.
