I was given a very nice gift for officiating my best friend's daughter's wedding. It was a pristine Model 15-3. (Photo is of a 15-2 for attention) Have always thought that the Model 15 and Model 14 were highly underrated guns. Looks like I'll be shooting a lot more .38 specials soon.

Great firearms. Carried one almost daily for 10 years in the Air Force.

Great Gun and Cartridge. The 38 Special really comes into it's own with handloading...

Love the Model 15 4" Combat Masterpiece! Some the best handgun targets I've ever shot was with the Model 15. Just a great all around PPP.

Among other revolvers I used in PPC competition, the S&W Model 15 was a great pick for the Duty Match. I still have it, it is now my wife’s. The 38 S&W Special does all I need from a 36 caliber handgun.

My model 15 evolved into a model 67. Of course not the same thing but really it is. Just my opinion but I prefer the lighter tapered barrel of the earlier guns. Stainless dressed in Micarta chambered in the ubiquitous 38 spl. makes a perfect, easy to feed, fearless to pack-around for a walk-about companion. Funny , The mod.67 seems even MORE ignored than the mod.15 and they are both so great at what they do.

Model 67 for me too! When a 15 was available, I didn’t have the funds. The 67 came up and was a deal, so….

A model 15 was the first centerfire handgun I owned. Three years out of high school, I bought it from a friend's mother who was retired from the local PD. What a great first "real" handgun. Sold it off a few years later to pay bills. It's on my very short list of "wish I had it back" guns.

When it boils down to it for a practical field gun (except for bears and mad people) it's really all you need.
I've got a model 67 barrel to put on a Model 66 some day for a K frame mountain gun....

The Model 15 is my most accurate handgun that makes one hole groups if I do my part. The Speer 148 gn. hollow base wadcutter over 3 gn. of BullsEye makes for an excellent target/defense load. Have fun with a most proper target gun......
