That is a good one for sure! You will love the .50-90. If it has their standard twist it will prefer the heavier weights (600+ grs). Do you plan on paper patched bullets or greasers? I’d love to find some good PP bullets but I don’t know who still sells them in a good design. Any pointers as yo where to look? You might check out Bullshop, formerly from AK, now located in MT. Great rifle BTW! Envious...

Does the machining on the top of the barrel run full length? Yes. I’m not home but I’m 99% sure it’s all the way down. It has a cool look. I had never seen one before but always wondered what the option meant on the forms so just gave it a shot when I ordered.

Really nice rifle. I've never owned or used one, but it looks like a caliber that makes a lot of sense to me.
