Shot it today while I was at the hunting property. 25 rounds of my handloads, which are pretty close to old Remington factory loads. It shoots every bit as good as it looks! I am very pleased with this little revolver, well worth what I have in it!!

While I know you're not the original owner of this gun, I commend the build as a bit of a rogue.
Probably 99% of projects like this are done in 45 Colt.
I never fit the Cookie Cutter Profile either. It's great to see others building customs in the "other" original cartridges.
I'm not a fan of fixed sights. But, given the options, the 32-20 is a fine choice for fixed sight guns.
As loads are bumped up, the lack of recoil is more forgiving than with bigger/heavier bullets...

Yep, me too, Encore.
When I saw that 32 WCF on the barrel, my little heart skipped a beat; Winchester Center Fire. The 32-20 was my first caliber growing up and it was in a first gen Colt SAA. I grew up in a little town, Albany, which defines Texas cowboy country. Colt SAA ruled the roost.
That 32-20 was the perfect cartridge for a young boy with that wheelgun; with great accuracy and almost no recoil.
It was supposed to be mine, but my step-dad sold it in a crazy fit one night. It was one more in a long line of meanness. Now, that is a grail gun for me. Maybe one day, I'll run into another one of those things that dreams are made of.
Enjoy yours, it must be awesome to fondle.

As loads are bumped up, the lack of recoil is more forgiving than with bigger/heavier bullets... That was what drew me to this gun...the fact that it was restored/rebuilt to its original configuration as the factory letter states. The only change is the hand made walnut grips. Fermin and a few other here got me hooked on 32 mag. I bought a custom Ruger Bisley of his and was hooked on 32's. I have a very nice clone in 32 WCF but have looked for a Colt for many years. Just so hard to find. Well, when I saw this one I fell in lust. Reached out and we came to an agreeable price and now I go home and take it out and just admire it some nights! Shoots so sweet!! I dont think I would run across another that fit what "I" wanted. I know its not what some would want in a late 1st gen SAA, but its dang near perfect to me!! Thanx for all the comments!

This is my third time to come back to this thread.
I just love looking at those pics and knowing it's a 32-20 WCF.
I now know what my "Grail Gun" looks like.
