As much as I admire the brute strength of the basic Redhawk- my hands never liked it during recoil! Unlike others I firmly believe rubber belongs on the 4 wheels of ,y truck not on my handguns. I will admit I never kept a Redhawk long enough to seek personalized wood grips that might have changed my mind. S&W with proper fitted grips all the way up to the stupidly large X frame .500 I can handle with proper pretty wood grips whoops minor retraction- I could- arthritis had polished off most of my recoil related activities. I’ll stick to my packin’ sized .45s and 280g @ 1100fps or so

Did you shoot it at all prior to magnaporting? It looks like you have the 4 port trapezoidal ports, if you shot it prior how do you feel the magnaporting worked out? Ya. It had pretty radical muzzle flip and torque/twist. mag-na-port tamed it quite a bit. Recoil is still sharp as to be expected. It doesn't want to twist out of my hand now and the uncle mikes grips spare my thumb joint. It's still a beast for sure with hot loads. Or "Rocks and Dynamite" loads as Mr. Bradshaw puts it!

I appreciate it, I have thought about that exact configuration for my 329PD, which I consider a fantastic .44 special, or the most spiteful handgun I've ever shot with "Rocks and Dynamite" .44 mag loads.
