May be why the last of 70+ short guns from the family estate to still be here is a Raging Bull. Just did not have much response on the “Bull” guns.

In my experience, the "bull" revolvers have been better than most of the other Tari... both my older Rossi's had short firing pins, my local retired tool & Die buddy made me new ones in both cases... I think both of those rifles were unfired when I bought them... ( because they wouldn't fire ) & because getting parts were pretty much non existent... both rifles have been good, & trouble free, after the initial firing pin problems were fixed... funny how such a little thing, & a lack of customer service, can turn something from great, to an unfireable wall hanger, or average to a piece of crap... I don't really see why those companies can't understand that

This being a new gun I am sure they will pop for shipping both ways. I had no luck with them recently when I wanted to have them have a look at my Rossi 59 22 mag pump rifle. Got nowhere with Taurus because the rifle was made before Taurus took the whole thing over. When I talked directly to Rossi, they said ship it back, on my dime. About 10 days later it showed up on my doorstep! Took it out, no letter, no list of parts or repairs. I called them and got, "oh we didnt touch it, too old". Thanks... Look up m&m gunsmithing in AL. He worked at Interarms and still may have Rossi parts. He had them for me a few years ago when nobody had them. Worth the call.

Looked at it harder... I think the chamber relief for the case head is cut too deep. I'll get the dealer to ship this one back tomorrow. Note when you look at the fired case in the chamber... That case was NOT fired in this gun.

I have been tinkering with the rifle myself and making headway. Shoots better every time I shoot it. Fewer hitches, maybe just needs to be shot more.

So, as I've recommended that you guys do... I have a good relationship with my dealer. He sells guns. I buy guns.. I dropped the gun off with him. He will ship it back to Taurus

So, as I've recommended that you guys do... I have a good relationship with my dealer. He sells guns. I buy guns.. I dropped the gun off with him. He will ship it back to Taurus This IS a solid plan, and it used to work that way for me, when my FFL/gun smith became a good friend over time. This was HIS idea too - something he offered to do to save ME the expedited shipping cost and hassles with carriers I'd have to have gone through.
He closed up shop several years ago, so I'm missing that relationship and the perks - such as shipping a handgun off at a reasonable rate. Of course, while in the shop, I'd end up committing to spending way more than what he saved me in shipping. He knew what I liked and always had a lead on something, and about half the time I had something being worked on, was dropping something off or picking something up... He was an expensive friend.

Failed to follow this up with you guys. Taurus called, says the frame is out of spec, and will be destroyed. They are sending a replacement.
