Sight looks great! I bet it really stands out. Would love to see a picture looking through the sights.

I have talked to them several times about potential upgrades to the guns. Nick is a very smart business man. He knows the market that their guns are headed for and you are right, he has kept them afloat but staying in that market. At one time I though that they might intrude into a another part of the market. Obviously not a full fledged hunting gun market but a gun suited to being a trail gun. A few simple touches such as improving the sights (re changing the sights) and some fairly decent walnut grips would make a huge difference. As far as killing deer with them you and I know that a 240-250 grain SWC at around 850fps will let the air out of any deer as long was ranges are within common sense. At one time I was talking back and forth with them fairly often. I called one day after a warranty issue was dealt with. The girl that answered the phone didn't put it on hold and I heard her say someone in the office, "it's the guy that killed that big hog in the picture!" I found out that someone had blown the picture up and hung it in the office. What better way to advertise a defensive pistol. If it will stop an enraged charging hog it would deal with bad guys pretty well too. lol

THAT is a great photo! The woman at CA who blew it up and put it on the wall seems typical of the kind of people you deal with there too.
I agree on the "trail gun" being a good branch that CA could have without a huge investment. Their guns are perfect for that, and there aren't enough 3 and 4" (even 6") 22s, 32s, 35s and 44s in their lineup. I think they are very attached to their system, which I BELIEVE includes assembling parts sourced from other entities, with a minimum of work being done in-house. I may be wrong.
I'd LOVE to see them bring back the round, tapered barrels. The rib and underlug are superfluous in function, add weight and look awkward. The current adjustable rear sights seem to have gone from crude, when they were first offered, to something about as appealing as a pocket full of fish hooks. The old walnut "Bulldog" grips and the skinny walnut grips were just fine with me, but something better would be nice, even if only through aftermarket, but the aftermarket doesn't support Charter very well.
I think I'm going to have to make a set of grips for this one. I hate the amount of work going into it, but I love the design and won't give it up, so that's what I am stuck doing.
That photo is just plain awesome. Says a lot about the hunter.

I've got a 4.2" Stainless Target Bulldog in 44 Special. It weighs just under 22 oz if memory serves me.
It is my favorite econo-carry trail gun. I load ammo with the GT 190 grn HP SWC.

I had no idea a hog that big could move that fast.

Roy, hearing you tell me the story I bet you didn’t know you could move that fast either! 😂 LOL you should hear Matt tell it. He said when that hog started getting up it just kept getting up. The funny thing was back at the lodge that night the talk was all about the "handgun hunters" fighting that big hog. We didn't know we had an audience. They were way up on the mountain behind us watching. One of them that had a bit too much to drink put his arm around me and told me that I was his hero. lol I have been charged by critters before but that one was a bit scary.
