Minor pitting in the bore. Might buff out pretty good. How about the way the crane fits the frame?

I've heard 41 Colt can be loaded but it is, troublesome . And the early Colt double actions (1892-1903) scare me. But those jigged bone grips are awesome and are enough to tempt me. Don't think I would look at it as a shooter but if it times right now, without work, it would be fun to own.

Here's one for you old school DA guys. Last patent date is 1895. Google 41 Long Colt and check out the heeled bullet cartridge. Tempted here. Good addition to my Broomhandle Mauser and Luger. Midway has a Redding die set. Starline makes brass. Bullets? Haven't found a hollow base mold yet. Redding makes good dies for this. You may be able to find an old RCBS set sometime also. Lee actually made the Lee handloader dies for it also. Starline brass is easy to get rather than having to make cases from 30-30 brass. On molds, this cartridge was actually a heeled base number. Lyman made two heeled type molds for it and the newer hollow base RN. The heel or HBRN was about 0.386" in diameter and the heeled base nose was about 0.401". Lyman, Old West bullet molds, and MP molds made molds for this cartridge. MP was the latest and his are sold out now. The 41 Colt is fun to shoot, but is rather anemic also.

Serial number lookup says 1906... The cylinder lockup is interesting. Anyone notice the cylinder turns the S&W way?

Rapine used to make a 41 colt hollow base mold and Buffalo Arms may offer one in their line of molds. A good, but expensive, option would be getting a mold from Accurate and sending it to Erik at Hollow Point Mold for a hollow base plug.

Accurate can make a mold, but if you want hollow base, you'll have to have a pin made for it.

For the money, if it times correctly, I could not leave it behind. I already have dies and some cast bullets for it I wanted one so bad but never happened.
