Pulled the side plate this morning. S&W Flashbacks! Pretty much a S&W style spring change. Swapped out the trigger spring. FWIW the Brownell's tool made for the S&W was a valuable asset. Chose to NOT replace the hammer spring at this point in time.

Thanks once again for all the great pictures. It appears to be all investment cast and MIM parts (no surprise that’s modern manufacturing). Are the interacting contact points dressed and polished? Any opportunity to slick things up based on your digging around?

I am thinking that a polishing compound stuffed in the action for a few 100 rounds followed by a good flushing and lubrication.

Interesting in that when I replace the S&W rebound springs it is with 13#...anything less and often get failure to reset...

S&W design except for Taurus transfer bar, presumably attached to trigger. Eliminates S&W hammer block passive safety. Are Taurus hammer & trigger through-hardened, or hard-coated? David Bradshaw
