A great practical revolver. I would have loved a 686 like yours back on my "hitting the bricks" days.

I put that front sight on my M69 and Wife's SP101. I have the little Pachy grip on my Bulldog, but left the M69's on, they pad the back strap, it is a 44mag.. The SP101 could use a higher front, does anyone make an F/O that is higher ? Don't recall heights of F/O's being discussed.

If you've found a Pachmyer Compact Professional (exposed back strap) for the Charters, please tell me where! Or maybe I misunderstood your post.
That's the ONE thing missing on mine and I've never been able to find one. I've ground that part of the factory grip away just to get close. I'm tempted to do the same on a regular Pachmyer Compact to achieve this.
