This may be someone's cup of tea but personally I don't get any variation of these. A guy mentioned this to me at a shop 5+ years ago but I would have never imagined the popularity that these have gained. I like a lever but in its original form, not a manual A/R.

Will have to admit I like the Henry X model, but part of that is due to the fact that I can hit the woods with it and not feel bad if I scuff it and a can on it is kinda intrigues me. But agreed those above are harsh.

I know a bunch of guys that put those together last time it looked like ARs would be banned.
Built for a different purpose than a hunting lever gun.

I saw this and the only thing that comes to mind is an old quotation, "A fool and his money are soon parted." Which came from a Thomas Tusser poem in 1557. “A foole and his money be soone at debate: which after with sorrow repents him too late.”

WWJWS, What would John Wayne say ? Chuck Conners ? Barney Fife ? OK, so Barney's eyes would bug out and he'd draw his wallet faster than he ever drew his revolver.

While I agree, they are SO... not me... some people like them... before this last shortage, back when ammo was plentyful I'd bet a 30-30 would have been fun to play with... then suddenly no 30-30 ammo... useless toys I actually had a thread called "tactical muzzleloader" back when I put a now legal scope on my in line... ( previosly scopes were not legal for deer hunting here, that changed 4-5 years ago )... no picatinny rails, but I called it my "tacticool muzzleloader" the rest of mine are "traditional" back to the original thread... aside from the horrendous looks, I just don't like all the sharp edges on something like those pictured my "tacticool muzzleloader"

Try to clear the "Marlin Jam" during a fight and let me know how that goes.
Snark intended.

My ass is right. Tacticool is intended sarcasm usually intended for those who buy an AR and hand every possible accessory off of it. Simplicity is functional, useful and sometimes elegant.

Sometimes,, it should be a criminal offense to do such stuff to classic designs. Some guns were "just right" in their original form.
Don't get me wrong,, I'm not against a bit of custom work to improve or tweak a gun. But looking at those forward grips makes me just wonder how the heck you could make that work. It would just feel un-natural.
