I have never had anything but problems with any of the Colts I've ever owned, it seems as though I can pick one up and not even cock it and the mainspring breaks, you colt guys ever have that kind of a problem? And it doesn't matter if it's brand spankin new or a 100 years old either.

I have heard of that thru the i-net, although never experienced it. Mainly i-net storys as far as I know.
Read a bunch of stuff on i-net about dont run meztler tires on harleys, but 70% of harleys I see run them and all I talk to at the rallys (hard core riders) love them. Put them on mine and love them as well.
I shoot the 1st and 2nd gen more than any, and a couple 3rds a lot, mainly in cowboy action stuff, never ran into a problem.
Did have a 3rd that had the bolt spring broke when I bought it as a used gun, but who knows how that happened. Could been spring problem or could been shade-tree gunsmith.
Sorry for late response, been travelling and company doesnt like us using co. computer for personal use. Back home now!!
I will see what other photos I can dig up.

Thankfully my old Colt doesn't surf the web.
