Just left a ups hub frustrated as all out. They are requiring the receiver of gun PARTS to have or access to a ffl. They caught me flatfooted as honest John, I stated gun barrel in the description.

Tell UPS it's "Machine Parts". Technically, a firearm is a mechanical device. Otherwise ship any non serialized gun parts USPS...They're only legally allowed to ask if it's liquid, toxic or perishable.

Have received a couple of 16" to 20" Lawnmower axles over the years.
But that was mostly as a theft deterrent.

Is that a UPS policy or a local policy?

I just shipped a Henry 22 back a few weeks ago. When Henry sent me the shipping label, they noted to drop it off at a customer service center. Not to take it to a local UPS store.
The UPS customer service center was about 45 minutes from me. I have a UPS store 10 minutes from my house. I called and talked to the manager at the local UPS store and explained the situation. He said drop it off here and he would take care of it.
It made it to Henry and back to me with no problems.
