Tractors and guns

Since a few folks here have mentioned their "tractor carry gun", what kind of tractor are you riding and what are you using it for? Pictures would be nice.....of your tractor(s), guns or both.🙂

For mowing my fields and power line right of way I use a classic old 1965 Massey Ferguson 135 with the 3 cylinder Perkins diesel.
The sidearm of choice is my 1956 Ruger 357 flattop in a Rick Bachman slipper crossdraw.

Well… it’s just barely a tractor on my small spread but it’s a shiny new Kubota BX 2380 and today the gun was a Ruger SR1911 Commander length .45 in an oak leaf carved BARRANTI MST … Groundhogs 98% of the time and a coyote yesterday (no shot but had a 4” M19 in a Barranti Longhorn Companion )and tractor was parked…

Don't have pictures but, a bit more modern with my tractors, a 2010 cub cadet (Yanmar) 32 horse 3 cylinder diesel, with front end loader, and a Kubota gr 2120 , little 21 horse diesel for the immediate yard areas, either a Ruger blackhawk in 41 mag, or my single six, use a Azula holster.

I love seeing the old Massey 135! I spent lots of hours on grandpas farm driving one of those along with a bigger Massey 165 and a pair of JD 2020s. Nowadays I use a Kubota B3030 with front loader, 5’ mower and backhoe attachment. Normally the little 41 Special is riding in Thad Rybka holster.

THE LAAST TIME I DROVE A TRACTOR WAS WHEN I WAS 8 ON MY UNCLE'S FARM (1947) I REMEMBER IT WAS GRAY WITH RED FENDERS. CARRIED AN H&R .22 SIXGUN.

I'll have to get a picture of my old JD 950 I use. I decided to mount a cheap nylon Uncle Mikes revolver holster to one fender. I can stick several different handguns in it,, depending upon my preference that day.

Almost always carry a Glock 20C in a safariland 6377 retention holster. If I think it’s “snakey” I carry a Taurus judge 410.
As for tractors

A 1976 Kubota L225 it’s main goal is to bush hog the shooting lane and help the bush down it front of my buddy cabin

A couple of the handguns that came to me over the past few years spent time in a metal box on a tractor fender. Pest control was their job. Here or at camp, on my Deere lawn tractor or ATV, ALWAYS armed. The 44spec Bulldog the minimum.

I always carry a little Keltec P-17 22 semi on my tractor while grooming the walking trails, thru the woods here at the ranch. If I stop the tractor, a coyote will disappear quickly, but if I just keep moving, they act like nothing is going on. I can draw and fire, although not super accurate while dragging the trails. Better than trying to fire on a running coyote. It’s played out for me a couple times.
