Not buying regrets ? Sure ,many many. But the even WORSE regret is when you look at something, want it but set it down for a second. And immediately someone else snatches it up and says I'll take it. He who hesitates and all that.

My dad has a good one, but not gun related. Back in 1969, the guy down the street was selling his 1966 Shelby Cobra (the dual quad 427 version). He was asking $7K. Dad thought, "What a rip off. That's what it sold for new in '66". He passed. The car probably only had a few thousand miles on it and was in pristine condition. Never raced or anything like that. Who knew they'd bring millions down the road. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

Wow Lee...that one stings. Before I was born, my dad had a '66 Stingray 427 with all of the options. He sold it for a few thousand to pay for the hospital bill of me being born. I told him that was a mistake...should have washed hospital dishes for a week instead!

I'm sure he doesn't regret selling it to bring you into the world though. My dad had a '63 Stingray convertible at the time he was offered the Cobra (robins egg blue with a white rag top). And he was getting married in '69. So he passed. The neat thing is, he still has the '63. It's sitting in my garage. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

1963 split window is my favorite ‘vette iteration. I had two friends in high school (mid 1970s) who had one and my ‘55 Chevy pick up couldn’t compare, at least until it was time to ho hunting!

427 side oiler Cobra is my lust car. If you've never heard of Kirkham Motorsports look them up a guy went to the old Saab aircraft Factory in Poland and taught them to build cobras you can order whatever you want

Hi... Passed up way too many. Tops is probably a Virginian Dragoon in. 45Colt for $250 about ten years ago. Passed up quite a few Broomhandle Mausers for around $500 back in the day. Passed on a S&W Outdoorsman .38/44 for $600 some years back probably around 1985 or so. That one still stings... I am sure there are others that I don't recall at the moment.

Mine is unfortunately recent - about six months ago:
Excellent condition 3-screw flattop .357mag for $600.
Just got out of the military, moved half-across the country, buying a house, and have three little kids. Sometimes you just gotta let a good thing go by…

Frame .... all billet. The guy that sold Oracle Practical Machinist had a thread on it. Think it was them. On edit.....it was them. The did bend the fenders maybe.
