Cerro Pelado fire is closing in on Alamo Canyon and that's where the County says they're going to evacuate town.
Wind blowing the wrong way 25-30, gusts to 55 today and tomorrow.
I lost a home to the Cerro Grande fire 20 years ago.
Gonna pack up what we can.
Send some good energy our way...

Thanks everybody...Steve in particular as I distinctly remember when he sort of disappeared as the result of a bad fire experience... glad he's back.
I'm optimistic it's going to be a not so close call. We'll be OK and able to get out unless things go really bad. This community is ultra safety oriented so the reality is that it may be a big PITA to evacuate for a week while things settle down. I can tell you for sure the PTSD from 20 years ago is real.
We've got each other and that's what counts.
However, I did fill several very large (now very heavy) suitcases with pistols....
Newsbreak...The National lab is going to "set" configuration and maximum telework status to reduce the # of people onsite in case of an evacuation. It's coming...
