Is that an XR3-Red grip frame? Just curious.
I think that Bowen front sight is about as nice looking as it gets! Thanks for sharing.

I've got a super nice .41 Special with a Power Custom brass grip frame built on an OM gun that Andy Horvath did for me but I wanted somethng a little simpler. Bowen built this one on a 50th .357 flat top, added nice sights, sculpted the gate and shield and did a deluxe action tune which includes an internal adjustable trigger stop. Add a couple cosmetics and I think it came out pretty well. Zane did the Dall grips which are beautiful as usual. I sent the aluminum frame shown to Zane some time ago and switched out the stock steel frame for this one for weight savings. The steel frame will now go for grips... The gun balances well and feels quite handy with the alloy frame!    I know some don't like Hamilton's Express sight but I do...  Dude, you're killing me. Holy moly is that nice. What are you going to do if you decide you don't like .41spl? How many do you have now, 10? I'm glad I only have 4. Great looking gun and "handy". Congrats, Gary............. The right length barrel too, with that little grip. All JMHO-YMMV........ ha ha ha. He's an enabler, isn't he? Even though I've yet to have time to load for it, let alone shoot it, that sweet little midframe Clements he sold me & infected me with the need for more .41 Specials. |
