They're good for 35k, same as the 357 Magnum.
Cylinders are the same size as the S&W 19. But, a bit stronger due to the offset lock notch.
Alan Harton has built these six shots in 357 Magnum.
Dave's guns are probably a tad stronger. You don't have to remove steel from the front of the cylinder window for the 38 Special.
The early 38 Specials loaded to 35k were AKA the 38-44 H.D.

With Dave's Data, these little gems will push a 180 grn to 1150 fps from a 4.62" barrel...

That first one is a beauty. Elegant simplicity.
I always felt the Single Six was a lot of steel for the 22 LR. THIS would be more like it, in my mind.

I have bought a Bisley 32 Magnum for a base gun before Dave discontinued these builds.
So, I was elated when he decided to build one more small batch before retirement.
Mine will be more of a hunting gun with a 6.5" barrel. Figure it should just about duplicate a 4" 357 Magnum.
