One + on MBW, & GT - both offer great CB's. I tend to favor GT lately, as their alloy is a bit softer.

I reached out to our own 2Dogs a few weeks ago to introduce myself and get some help with several of my guns. He explained to me that my first step is to get some pin gauges in my revolvers and see what they need. He also spoke of the lube star that he often posts about. After shooting, I couldn't find any noticeable lube on the crown. This tells me there is room for improvement. I know Ruger 44's have a good reputation for throat dimensions but I may just be using the wrong size bullet Mr. Garza has offered to meet with me and go through my guns with his pin gauges since we live across the bay from each other. I look forward to meeting with him. I will be able to find out if my cylinder or barrel needs attention and what size bullets I should be shooting.
The New Model Flattop Blackhawk: I'm sure you will find Fermin to be quite helpful, as he is a wellspring of knowledge. He has helped me out on more than one occasion. Being local, is a plus too. By the way, where do you shoot? CCP&R (CC Gun Club)? The spent brass carpet pictured in front of the bench, looks like Starry Range, but thought they had closed. Oh yeah, nice little pistola you've got there too!

I favor GT more now too. MBW had an HG258 copy for my .41 mag, and now don't offer that bullet. GT offers it and in an hp version

I’m time, you will appreciate the rear sight change. You picked the best, IMHO.

I have the same 4-5/8 version, mine had some moderate thread choke when new & disappointing 2-1/2-3" groups with cast bullets @ 25 yards were common. I bought a Beartooth kit & fire lapped it with 48 rounds total, cleaning & checking every 6 shots, it's now one of my most accurate 44 Specials.

gcf: I was shooting at Schwenke's between Ingleside and Aransas Pass. Where do you call home? Schwenke's huh? Heard there was a range up that way, but have never been there. My home crib is in Corpus Christi. Central city - near Ray High School. These days (when I can find the time) shoot at Corpus Christi Gun Club - formerly Corpus Christi Pistol & Rifle Club. 15 minute drive from the house - traffic lights, & school zones included. Been a member there for around 20 years. Nice place, but public matches aside, shooting for members & member's guests only. We should get together sometime - compare notes & burn some powder. You can be my guest! corpuschristigunclub.com/

LongOval, are you South across the bay or North across the bay? If North, we have a little getaway on the Victoria Barge Canal that wouldn't be too far away from you. I Would love to have you out to chase redfish and shoot some firearms!

Those are both generous offers. I would love to meet up with you guys.
I am in Portland and work near Ingleside. Relatively new to the area and don't know a ton of folks outside of the plant.

If you are working at Ingleside, you are only about 45 or so minutes from our getaway. I dont mean to toot my own horn, but everyone tells me I cook a mean steak!
