Well Derek I am sure that is next. He doesn't reload and I don't have a .30-30. Any advice on what all to try? Amazon has used versions of Winchester's 30-30, Model 94 by Sam Fadala for $65 and change + shipping. It has everything anyone who owns a 30-30 would need to know including loads from 100 gr loads for squirrels and other small game to 190 gr moose killers. It goes into great detail regarding 30-30 and 30-30 AI loads. It also has a lot of info about the M94 Winchester especially tuning it for more accuracy. I paid the full price of $24.95 years ago for a new copy and I use it as a reference book when people ask about loads.

See what he thinks about a .348 Win in the Browning re-make. 1st class and one hell of a cartridge. Smackdown on deer and hogs!

He is sticking with .30-30 since it is his Grandfather's and he wants to keep it original. Since mine was bought used, it is going to become a .30-30 AI next week. I have all the dies, brass, etc - just waiting on some bullets.

I've got a Marlin Cowboy II (24 inch bbl) in .44 Magnum. It shoots great with cast bullets as long as they are .432 - .433 diameter. Love to shoot it!
