An Imposition - Help with a Christmas Gift Idea Emergency

I hate to drop something like this one anyone, but am at a bit of a loss on my own and time is SHORT.

A dear and close family-member has been in and out of the hospital since Thanksgiving, and we all got preoccupied getting everything right-side-up again, but all got behind on everything else.  She's fine now, but she just asked me to help figure out what to get her husband for Christmas, because she hadn't had time to think about it, let alone DO anything about it.

I am looking for some general guidance on two items, to cut down on research time.  Not being lazy, just really pressed for time.  If either item can be had for under $100 - even better.  We're all pretty frugal in my line and don't "go cheap," but are careful with what we have.

Do any of you have a preference or suggestion regarding:

1) Electronic 'muffs for shooting

2) a rifle cleaning cradle - he has one rifle, an AR, and I don't know if anyone makes one that may be more accommodating than another.

Any suggestions welcome, and sorry for springing a "task" on the great folks here.

I use Walker with radios. We can talk to each other like a walk-in talkie and it cuts out the loud noises.

I recently purchased a set of Walker Razor muffs that I’ve been happy with. Been using them a lot for hunting this fall. Pretty comfortable and price was real reasonable from Midway.

I've had a Tipton gun vise for years that works for just about every rifle I've put in it. Good for cleaning, mounting scopes, light gunsmithing, etc.

If those are still holding their own against all the crazy new ideas, I like it.  I use an MTM but am familiar with the Tipton.

I really appreciate that, zeus, but she will insist upon sourcing them on her own.  Stubbornness and independence runs even deeper and wider in the "fairer sex" in this family.

So, Walker looks good from what I've looked at on them - actually enough that I might consider a set too now.

Tipton is a familiar name and I know they have nice stuff, not gimmicky.

Shoot! You guys may have already sorted this out for her!

I'm looking over both again. Glad I didn't chase all over the 'net just to find out some tried and true names are still holding their own.

Walker's are my current set, and will be my next too. Don't recall specific model.

I'd also suggest a Tipton gun cradle.

And as for electronic ears,, Walkers are good,, but I'll also add,, that if she seeks something different,, in USPSA shooting,, the Peltor line has enjoyed a huge following because they are also excellent! Peltor makes top quality ears.

I haven't looked at stuff like this in years and had no idea what was out there. Looks like some solid products still exist.

She did the unthinkable and grubbed through his range bag (THOROUGHLY as taboo as grubbing through a woman's purse in my family) and found a set of Walker electronic muffs. Close call on that one, but after looking at them, I may get some for myself after Christmas. BIG help on the ideas though!

So, she went with the Tipton Gun Vise. She had her hands full again today, so I found one and ordered it for under $100 shipped and it SHOULD be here several days before Christmas.
