That is about as good as it gets! Stinks to be retired some times!

Will be interesting to see how high that one goes! A Bowen lightweight was always on my bucket list. I was finally able to acquire one thanks to the kindness of a forum member.

Yeah, and that one is a Colt!
It's always about timing...and it's a bad time to see that one for sale right now...
What hammer do you guys think that is, one of Ron Power's with the bushing or one of the USFA hammers that used to be available?

Looks like a USFA hammer. Yup its a colt for sure. Have one custom Colt SAA. won't buy another unless it has a custom cylinder and preferably an early 2nd gen. Got rid of most of my Colts in 45 when I got tired of having to buy .458 bullets for them.

That would work! are they the Colt OD cylinders. If so, those are good property!

He may have done like I had Alan do on the NF. I bought an actual Colt bisley hammer and had him graft the top half onto the original lower section.

My Ruger with a power Bisley hammer was "checkered" with a ball end mill. Doesn't look like the case on this one. Hope someone here buys it and can shed some light on it

I'm rather curious as to when this gun was built. I know with the advent of the USFA guns Bowen stated:
"While we admire the pre-war Colt revolvers, for our purposes, the late-model United States Firearms guns are far superior. In terms of fit and finish, they have no equal and are the best vehicle for fine custom single-actions"
