Barranti Northwest Companion. In their Direct Line ypu could have it pretty fast. I recently got one for my 3.75" New Vaquero, and I love it. I am probably going to get another in basket weave or hammered finish as it's kind of a 'dress up' gun for me. I already bought the 'place holder' for the next one. barrantileather.com/shop/ols/products/direct-line-northwest-mountain-companionI was waiting for the new grips that are coming Tuesday to take a pic, but here's a quick shot of it

Those are great for the New Vaquero, but not made for the shorty SBH. My New Vaquero in a Doc Holiday

Of late I have tried several different holsters to carry my 4 5/8" Ruger Blackhawk .45 Colt. My favorite so far, has been Doc Barranti's No. 1 Shuck. This holster is open toed and thus slightly shorter than those with stitched bottoms and is more comfortable when I'm sitting. I have it made with no thongs nor straps, as its fully covered by my outer gsrment. For me, cross draw holsters are not so well suited to carrying the Single Action revolver. When my hand grasps the gun butt, my thumb naturally falls on the hammer spur to cock the hammer as I draw. And I want no leather between my trigger finger and the trigger. Here is Doc's Ranger Model which is my fanciest holster. It is a trifle long for me when sitting, but with a 3 1/2" barrel, should be really a nice holster. I used mine for Sunday-go-to-meeting when I'm really dress up. As far as dealing with Mike, or "Doc" as he's often called, you won't find any better workmanship nor a more pleasant man to deal with. Some nice holsters. Thanks guys. Anybody have the Sourdough with the chesty puller rig? I generally only pack when hiking/hunting/fishing hot loaded for griz.

If you want a chest rig, take a look at the Diamond-D Guide's Choice. You really can't beat it for your application. Here's a couple for my SBH 480 and my SRH Alaskan.

I am carrying my 3.25 inch Bisley New Model Blackhawk in an Azula, South Africa holster. It is double loop so I put it on belt through holster loop, pants belt loop, holster loop again. I went with the size for a N-frame Smith and Wesson 4 inch. It is nice and tight to the body and I honestly forget I am carrying a full round cylinder, all steel 45 Blackhawk Bisley. It rides slightly high so the large grip is tight against my back till I dont want it to be. If I put on my Carhart vest it completely hides. My wife even asked me "Aren't you carrying your Ruger?" I opened my vest and showed her and she could not believe it was completely hidden.

It is perfect.

Originally bought for a 6 1/2 inch Smith model 25 and it carries it very comfortably. An added bonus is that it can be used with any of the other 5 SR Sourdough's I've accumulated (and one on the way) as well as the SR Cattleman with adapter. I've spent a lot of money on holsters over the years but I haven't found anything that carries revolvers as comfortably and conceals them as well as the Sourdough Pancake holsters do. I just wish I'd learned that lesson a few hundred bucks ago.
