Call (866)-769-4867 and ask for Donna. OK I took the advice and called Donna and did get a better response and YUP , she is super nice . She did empower me to butcher away on the loose sight base with out voiding any kind of warranty . So with fastidious dremeling I was able to remove the shell of the front sight enough to get a firm grip on the outside of the screw head and get it moving. I mean Dremels and heavy Klein pliers for gunsmith work ? What could go wrong ? Rock on bubba. Anyway screw is out and Donna is sending a replacement sight and screw. So I will use the screw head to establish what sight height needs to be . Then I will lower the pad it sits on and reattach the small parts plus some adhisive . If no happyiness results or the new sight still spins it will be dovetail time . Heck , Who knows ,,,, It might work. Hopefully that fixes it. if it doesn't your foot is in the door. There are good people in customer service at nearly every company. People like her make or break a company.

A lot of the employees have stayed with the ship through all the owners. Donna is a corner stone of customer service.

Glad this has taken the turn it has. They now have a 6-shot Professional, with fixed sights in 357, and if I can find one </=$400, I'm getting one. I'll ditch the glowing blob on the front and buy or make a front sight for it. This is on the "XL frame," so it will be new and interesting to handle. www.classicfirearms.com/cha-73526-professionalv-3-ss-revolver/There seems to be a black nitride, 5-shot version too, but neither in stock ANYWERE.

Quick update on the 32 professional . After shooting it a little more I am growing to like it a good deal more. The funny little screwhead sight is perfectly regulated to be a snappy little point and click interface. Bien , bien and more bien. Couple of quick thoughts Jeff, While the sight looks like the same piece and probably attaches with the same single screw the 357 may be more difficult to adapt. That 357 barrel seems to have a ramp between the rib and the sight where as the 32 only has the rib. The ramp looks narrow so harder to get a alternate sight to work with out dovetailing. Also my gun was not a black finish but straight up stainless. Much less stress about finish/refinish if I had to break out the files.

The "ramp" is no more than a vestige of what was the integral front sight, milled off to stick the glowing glob upon.
My current 3" 357 Mag Pug has the same barrel, and I have had a chance to measure and scheme.
If one were to mill off the rest of the integral sight, there is still enough material to dovetail the rib or mill a slot for a front blade.
At the last little local gun show, I met a retired guy/gunsmith who is willing to do while-you-wait work of this nature. We discussed cutting/crowning a barrel, threading another for a can and milling a slot for a front sight on my Flat Top 44 Special - to get a sight tall enough to not shoot over the heads of whatever I'm shooting at.
I really appreciate the the information you've been so willing to share. It's been a big help.
I'd personally go for the straight stainless myself, if it's an option, but I'm not above carrying and using an ugly, unfinished gun either - if it gets me what I want.

Well I'm glad it worked (is working) out alright.
My one and only call to Charter about a revolver I kind of inherited, resulted in a pleasant informative visit with a sweetheart who I'm guessing is "Donna", very helpful to me she was in answering my questions.
