Several manufacturing operations, including forging, machining and metal finishing and revolver assembly, will remain in Springfield, Mass. Smith & Wesson will continue to employ more than 1,000 employees in its Springfield location.

Revolver manufacturing is staying put, the semi-auto portion, or 60% of the S&W business, is moving to a low tax, work friendly, gun friendly...AKA a FREE State. Hopefully, the revolver production will also eventually.
