To stay within the given parameters, I would choose a Freedom Arms 6” 44 Mag. 2nd choice would be the recently announced Lipsey’s Stainles Ruger Bisley 44 mag.
If one doesn’t reload the 44 Mag is the clear choice. If reloading is part of the future, the 44 is still a great cartridge.

MRI custom shop BFR in 41 mag six shot. Plenty of recoil killing weight but easily packed on the hip. Astounding accuracy. Great trigger. Top quality. The strongest revolver you can buy. Then when you do start handloading, this thing will stand up to Ruger busting loads.

You can call and special order about anything. At least you could. I heard they aren't taking alot of one off orders since Corona has everything messed up. Just call and try. Expect it to run @$2500 if they take the order. Bet Max could get one.

Stopped at LGS. Nothing available. Will hopefully make it to couple other larger gun shops soon. Like the looks of hammer and grip much better on the Ruger; but leaning towards a 5" BFR bisley in .44 mag.

The BFR would be quite a step up from a Ruger and a Ruger aint a bad choice. The 44 Magnum will have a couple bonuses associated with it. There is more commonly available factory ammunition from mild to wild available so pretty much any hardware store or Wal-Mart type store will have something in 44 magnum available. Helps if you travel. The 44 mag has been used on every type of living animal in the Northern Continent and it worked. 20 rounds of brass can be reloaded many times so it doesn't take much to keep shooting. Probably has the most load data of any handgun cartridge out there. Almost any handgun powder will work and probably work well, from Bullseye to H-110. Any primer can be used in a pinch. I have even used large rifle primers in the past shortages. I just reduced my powder charges by one grain and worked back up. The 44 mag is going to be your best bet by far in my opinion.

Buy the bfr Bisley. I still don't like the looks of mine, but it is the easiest shooting factory revolver out there. You'll love how it feels. Ronnie Wells tells me he's close to releasing the stainless bfr frames. When he does my Hager BB5 corrects the looks by moving the backstrap up into a proper concealed screw Bisley styled after Keith's #5. It keeps all the bananas recoil control and then some, plus doesn't look so puny and just stuck on there against the big frame

I’m really fond of my FA 83 44 6”. That’d be my vote. I’ve only handled BFRs, they seem very nicely made.
