You could do an octagon banded front sight... Any pics of this completed? No, it was something I found on the net by searching octagon barrel band front sight. There is no real good pick of it completed. This was when I really wanted an octagon barreled revolver built, never went any further.

Lookin good bud. A friend of mine has a similar gun built in 45 Colt. I believe it has an octagon barrel with no sights and a scope.
