Looks nice. I have a 10.5” barrel I need to finish on my Bisley 41 as well. Should be a shooter.

Sure is a nice looking gun! I believe John Taffin uses that same bullet with 22.0 grs of 4227 as does James from Jersey in their 10.5" guns. John has shot groups under 1" with his gun, James has taken a lot of game with that load, including some very large feral hogs. I've tried it & it shot terrific in my 10.5" 41 also using the 210 XTP's, but I just barely got mine, haven't shot any game with that bullet, just cast. You're going to love that gun! Dick Rest assured , James and your 10.5” revolvers were the inspiration! I do have a 8 lb jug of 4227 and plenty of mag primers!

Had the 10” out today for the first time. I had loaded rounds of N110 ,win lpp under Hornady 210 xtp’s. Powder charges were 18.0 and 18.5 grs. Fired the 18.0 gr load first ,at 25 yards the first two shots were in the same hole! Tempted to pack it up and go home! Lol shooting a couple clicks low and left. I adjusted the weaver 2x and was right on. The 18.5 gr load resulted in similar accuracy. So I’m good to go for deer season. Now the predicament, I ordered and should be here tomorrow from Natchez a 2-6 weaver scope. I could use the extra magnification, but dang I don’t want to touch the setup I took to the range!

Having more power as an option is always a good thing and well worth the effort of changing the scope out. I have never found myself wanting less than 4 power in my scopes, and I keep mine on 3 or 4x for the wider field of view and go up as wanted, or needed.

I was wrong when I said James From Jersey was using 22.0 grs of 4227, it was 22.0 grs of AA9, sorry! That's why it's always better to double check. I did see 15 boxes of Hornady 210 gr. XTP's at a gun shop in Idaho Falls last week for $29.99 a box. They had lots of bullets & a fair amount of different powder, Longshot, 4227, etc.

Thanks bear, here’s a story ! I ordered from midway and received 2 boxes of the Hornady 41 about 10-14 days ago. I paid $23 and change. To day with free shipping they’re asking $35. And change. Hate to think what they will ask for them in the next two weeks! Lol inflation is coming hard my friends!

James is correct, my load was in my FA as well, only use these loads if you have worked up to them in your gun, never assume they are ok in your gun. These are heavy loads in very tight built guns!!!

A Reeder with no superfluous (been waiting to use that)engraving. Absolutely gorgeous straight forward (WAY forward) gun.

21.5 grs H110 in my hunter. 1.5" 100 yard groups. One of my favorite deer loads.

For you gents that are shooting sub 2.5” groups at hundred yards with the .41 mag, what power scope are you using?? I have a .44 mag Bailey Hunter with a 2x Leupold and I feel like I would be doing good to shoot a 5” group at that distance. Do I need more power ?
