I have an older (80’s) Ruger Single Six laying around that I am looking at for a base gun for a custom 327 Federal. My question is it possible (and reasonable) to convert a Ruger Single Six 22 rimfire to a centerfire?

I believe it’s been done, but the preferred method is find a centerfire single six.

The reason people typically convert a rimfire to centerfire for these conversions is to use an old model since the transfer bar can be problematic in 357 and larger conversions. There may be a work around for the NM, but others here would be more familiar with that.
For the 327, definitely just start with a new model 32 H&R.

Is anything more than reaming the .32 magnum to .327 length required for a simple conversion?

I'm currently trying to buy that one. So far it's been kind of tough since that forum isn't allowing new members and I'm not entirely sure I'm sending email to his correct address. ETA- Contact made, revolver bought, wallet whimpers softly.
