Don't understand the "2012 Vintage" as this is a brand-new out-of-the-box Pietta. The date code on yours looks like CI which is 2012. That means it was probably a "new" "in stock". The Italians started using the last two year digits in 2020 so a new build this year would have [21] in the box. Mike I GOT THE 2ND "NEW" 12" PIETTA YESTERDAY. ALL STTEL. SENT TO ME 2ND DAY PRIORITY FROM COLORADO A WEEK AGO FRIDAY. PACKAGE LOST THREE DAYS AND BEAT UP BUT MADE IT FINALLY WITH A FEW MINOR DINGS TO GUN. A RETIRED FELLOW BOUGHT AN OLD GUNSHOP AND FOUND SIX OF THESE IN A BOX TUCKED AWAY. DATE CODE FOR THIS NEW UNFIRED SIXGUN IS 1995. WHERE OH WHERE HAS IT BEEN??? CAN IT POSSIBLY SHOOT AS WELL AS THE FIRST ONE?

Wow! Good luck with that one! It'll be interesting to see if the steel version is up to the task!!

20 YARDS BUT IMAGINE WHAT IT WOULD DO IF I WAS 22 INSTEAD OF 82! I can only imagine since your 82 is better than my 32!

Shot the second Pietta 12" Buffalo .44 this morning. However comparing this to the first one is definitely oranges and apples. Different gun, full power loads, and I did not use a wad and some of the powders will not compress enough with 35.0 grains to allow the use of a wad. In fact both Elephant Brand and Wano are very difficult to compress bullet only. Groups not as tight but certainly okay. postimg.cc/5j7WbdZRpostimg.cc/fSkFJy6g
