If all goes well tomorrow I’ll be picking up a NIB model 97 with jeweled hammer, trigger and black micarta grips. Can’t wait to get it and go to the range. Pics and range report to follow.

Excellent Choice!!!
I'd hate to have to choose between my FA-97 45 Colt or 44 Special. Both are simply great guns.
The joy of the 45 Colt from FA is they come with .452" throats. Cast Bullets are no problem.

I got Matt to make me 1000 of his 250 grn Wadcutters hardened just for mine. It just barely fits the cylinder length, but does more damage out to 50 yards than any bullets I've tried.

Don’t string me up, but a Leupold 2x or 4x scope is a great compliment to a FA97. Lightweight, compact, and helps me approach the potential of the gun. The FA holsters accommodate a scope easily.

My 3 1/2" M97 .45 colt round butt w/Leupold 2x. Compact, lightweight, powerful and easy to hit with. FWIW, Paul
