Just ran across a interesting one its a Magnum Research marked BFR in 454 with the DM serial prefix. It's got the Ruger Super B grip frame (fitted with both black marcarta grips and the standard rubber) and has the cross bolt base pin latch. This one seems very well put together and barrel cylinder gap is very tight. Anyone got any experience with these DM serial BFR's? Are they up to full bore 454 loads? Are the parts for the new BFR's compatible or are the Ruger Blackhawk parts interchangeable? Any information is greatly appreciated.

Not speaking of my own knowledge, but I did discuss customs on DMAXs with Jack Huntington. He said it was a no-go on the high pressure rounds due to the type of steel used.
I bought three of the Midlength DMAXs. One was in 458 DMAX. It's just a 45-60 WCF with a different name and load data. I fixed it to my liking and kept it as is.
The other two were 44 DMAXs. I had a new cylinder built from 17-4 for the 445 Super Mag and a full custom built.
The final 44 DMax will probably be sold. It's in really good shape and so much stronger than a Ruger Maximum.
I doubt any parts would interchange with the New BFRs...

Well I looked it over real good and brought her home. Tried a cylinder full of winchester partition golds (I've got a stash saved for hunting) and had a group at 25yds could cover with a 1/2 dollar. Probably won't push it too hard got a freedom 83 for heavy loads but this gun seems to be an excellent shooter. Also, has great sights i think there Millett.

Sounds like you did good. I doubt they'd have built an unsafe gun. The info I got on my Midlength Guns may be out of caution or preference.
I've got a 454 Casull built on a Blackhawk Chassis. It's held up fine.
